Risk Assessment of Sleep Apnea
Using the STOP BANG Questionnaire
The STOP BANG Assessment is a self-evaluation questionnaire which is an effective tool used to screen obstructive sleep apnea. It consists of eight yes-no questions related to the symptoms of sleep apnea. "STOP" represents the four common symptoms of sleep apnea, while "BANG" represents the four physical characteristics of high-risk patients. This questionnaire has been widely accepted and recognised by the general public and used in hospitals and clinics.
